When Becky retired, she joined a Minneapolis garden club and got involved with some of their events. One of the events was a garden tour, during which she had a conversation with one of the volunteers from the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program for Hennepin County. The volunteer encouraged Becky to apply to become a volunteer, and she did just that. She became a certified Master Gardener Volunteer at the beginning of 2021.
